Terms of use
This is a plain-language summary of the rules for using Famio. The final terms are being reviewed by legal counsel and will be published here before public launch.
Using Famio with your family
- Famio is for families and people who trust each other, with everyone’s consent.
- Do not use Famio to locate or follow anyone who has not agreed to share with you. Famio is not a tool for monitoring partners, employees or strangers.
- Children under 16 need a parent or guardian to set up and manage their account.
Not an emergency service
Locations can be late, approximate or unavailable (for example with no signal or a flat battery). SOS alerts go to your family, not to emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in Europe, 911 in the US).
Your content
- You are responsible for the messages and media you send.
- Messages disappear after 24 hours; copies others made outside Famio can’t be removed.
- Don’t send anything illegal, hateful or that you don’t have the right to share.
Your account
You can delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend accounts that break these rules or put others at risk.
